The Client
bWEST has been working with Eagle Wing since March 2019. Eagle Wing is the #1 Whale Watching Tour company in Victoria BC since 2007 (according to TripAdvisor). Established in 1997, EagleWing operates out of Fisherman’s Wharf in beautiful Victoria BC.
The Challenge
Eagle Wing’s guarantees whales & adventure! They are Canada’s 1st Carbon Neutral & 1% For the Planet eco adventure whale watching tour company. As local, passionate conservationists, they provide their guests with so much more than simply “a look at the whales.”
The management team at Eagle Wing wanted to grow their customer base, so they reached out to bWEST Interactive to help them generate more tour bookings.
The Solution
bWEST created a Facebook advertising strategy targeting people interested in whale watching and adventure tours.
Our in-house team of digital marketing experts planned and executed a series of Facebook ad campaigns consisting of more than 50 ad variations, (testing photos, video, copy and CTAs) resulting in more than 123 tour bookings and a 688% return on ad spend.
The strategy consisted of creating and testing, tracking and tweaking numerous Facebook ad variations (imagery, offers, calls-to-action) and targeting (gender, age range, affinities), along with follow-up emails and contest entry page.
The Results
- Engaged Users: > 1,000
- New Bookings: 123
- Return on ad spend: 688%
Over a one-month time period the campaign improved every day generating positive engagement and ultimately new whale watching tour bookings.
The return on ad spend (ROAS) is calculated at over 680%.
